Working visit of a professor at the University of Colorado Springs (USA)

Mr. Sang-Yun Chang, a professor at the University of Colorado Springs and a board member of the Silicon Valley Cybersecurity Institute, paid a working visit to Kharkiv National University of Radio Electronics as part of a collaboration between the Department of Information Security and the University of Colorado Springs (USA).

From November 24 to 25, 2021, he had the opportunity to communicate with teachers of the department, as well as with the team of the Ukrainian-American scientific project “Quantum-driven security in emerging 5G networking”.

In 2021, the project won the US Civil Engineering and Development Foundation’s (CRDF Global) cybersecurity competition. The project coordinators are Hennadiy Khalimov, Head of the ITS Department, and Maksym Kolisnyk, Head of the PR Department. The project is funded by the US Department of State.

Within this stage of the project there were working meetings, an open lecture for applicants majoring in 125 Cybersecurity on the topic:”Quantum-driven security in emerging 5G networking”, a research workshop and a presentation of the infrastructure of KNURE, as well as scientific developments and projects on cybersecurity, which are being developed at the Department of Information Technology Security.
