The Department of Information Technology Security invites you to the “Day of acquaintance with KNURE”, which will take place online on February 13 at 10.00 on NURE TV. During the event there will be an opportunity: to learn about the rules of admission to the University of Radio Electronics and the features of the admission campaign 2021, to ask questions to the representatives of the admissions committee of KNURE.

Teachers of the department will present the specialty 125 Cybersecurity – educational program “Information and Communication Systems Security” and will answer questions during an online meeting on the Google Meet platform, which will take place within an hour.

On December 14-16, 2020, the 7th International Conference on the Internet of Things: Systems, Management and Security (IOTSMS 2020) was held in Paris, France.

The IEEE Internet of Things: Systems, Management and Security (IOTSMS 2020) aims to find original ideas in the broad field of IoT, including challenges and opportunities, concepts and applications, and future trends. IOTSMS is designed to facilitate discussions between IoT scientists and practitioners and to make a positive contribution in this area.

At the Department of Information Technology Security a round table was held between the developers of the project of educational and scientific training program for the third educational and scientific level of higher education in 125 Cybersecurity and students and graduates of this specialty, where separate structural modules of the program and proposals for changes improving the quality of training. Representatives of the Council of Young Scientists of the University were also invited to the meeting, who made proposals to improve training in the implementation of academic mobility.

According to the results of the round table, the project developers took into account all constructive proposals from graduate students, graduates and students majoring in 125 Cybersecurity, the parties agreed to meet regularly and discuss pressing issues.

The ITS Department took part in the organization and holding of the Kharkiv Security Forum, 2020, December 10-11, held under the auspices of the Government Office for Coordination of European and Euro-Atlantic Integration of the Secretariat of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, with the assistance of Kharkiv Regional State Administration and Kharkiv City Council Representation of Young Foreign Policy Professionals (YPFP).

Students, graduate students and teachers of the Department of Information Technology Security of Kharkiv National University of Radio Electronics took an active part in the discussion panels of the forum. The event was held online on the YouTube platform.

The Department of Information Technology Security hosted an interdepartmental seminar to discuss the project of educational and scientific training program for the third educational and scientific level of higher education in the specialty 125 Cybersecurity with the participation of teachers of “Information Technology Security”, “Computer Radio Engineering and Information Security Systems” , ” Infocommunication Engineering. V.V. Popovsky” departments and representatives of stakeholders from among employers. Representatives of the following companies were present at the seminar and made their proposals: Private Joint-Stock Company “Institute of Information Technologies”, “Softserve”, LLC “MNS Group”.

As a result of the seminar, it was decided to make minor changes to the draft educational and scientific training program to update students’ knowledge in the field of cyber and information security based on current challenges and requirements for rapid adaptation of graduates in the future workplace. It was also proposed to make additions to certain disciplines of the program in order to acquaint students with new scientific areas in the field of cybersecurity.

At the Kharkiv National University of Radio Electronics, representatives of the departments of “Information Technology Security”, “Computer Radio Engineering and Information Security Systems”, “Infocommunication Engineering V.V. Popovsky” together with stakeholders developed projects of educational and scientific program and curricula for the third educational and scientific level of higher education in the specialty 125 Cybersecurity (field of knowledge 12 Information Technology).

    On the ITS department hosted an online round table discussion on the exchange of experience between the teachers of the department on participation in international conferences with the publication of materials in well-known and cited international scientometric databases.

    The issues of preparation of materials, methods of distribution through contacts with the international community were discussed. The successful work of the teachers of the department related to publications in international publications was also noted, which is especially relevant during the period of quarantine restrictions.

      Congratulations to the teachers of the department with the successful publication of materials in collective monographs, we wish them success and inspiration in their future endeavors.

  On the Department of Information Technology Security defended the master’s certification work of the second-year student of the second (master’s) level of full-time higher education at the Center for Education in English, Faculty of of Сomputer Engineering and Control, specialty 125 Cybersecurity of the educational and professional program “Information and Communication Systems Security” Nigerian citizen Ibrahim Khalifa : “Information Security Audit Based on Intrusion Detection Systems”, supervisor – Assoc. Prof. Department of ITS Fedyushin Alexander Ivanovich. The defense took place via video conference in English.

During the quarantine, the teachers of the department prepared and published electronic educational publications on the disciplines of the department in the specialty 125 Cybersecurity of the educational-professional program “Security of information and communication systems”:
