Head Department of ITS Gennady Khalimov visited Batumi University on May 1-3, 2021 at the invitation of Professor Ibraim Didmanidze.

During the visit, he got acquainted with the infrastructure of the university, the work of research laboratories and discussed issues of cooperation in the field of cybersecurity of the Internet of Things.

The International Scientific and Technical Conference “IEEE IEMTRONICS 2021” was held on April 21-24, 2021 in Toronto, Canada.

The conference aims to find original ideas in the broad field of IoT, information technology and mobile communications, including problems and opportunities for the application of various cybersecurity technologies and technical information security.

On April 22-23, 2021, teachers and students of the Department of Information Technology Security took part in the V International Scientific and Technical Conference “Computer and Information Systems and Technologies” CSITIC-2021.

On April 22, 2021, a meeting of the section “Protection of information and information resources in ICS” was held within the conference “Virtual and Physical Computing” of the XXV International Youth Forum “Radio Electronics and Youth in the XXI Century”, which was held at KNURE.

The meeting of the section was held in the form of a video conference with the participation of students and teachers of the Department of Information Technology Security. The head of the section was the head of the department Khalimov G.Z., the secretary-associate professor of the department ITS Severinov O.V..

On April 21, 2021 at the XXV International Youth Forum “Radio Electronics and Youth in the XXI Century”, which took place on the basis of KNURE within the exhibition of technical creativity of youth was presented developed by students majoring in 125 Cybersecurity Fedorov Ilya (group KБІКС-19-1) Lysko Victor group БІКСм-20-1) software and hardware complex for cyber defense.

The cybersecurity complex is based on Orange PI One and Raspberry PI 4 Model B 4GB single-board microcomputers, as well as Mikrotik RB2011UiAS-2HnD-IN 802.11n and Mikrotik RB2011iL-IN routers.

As part of the National Scholarship Program of the Slovak Republic to support the mobility of students and graduate students, university professors and researchers, the Slovak side announced the acceptance of applications for scholarships for study, research and lecture internships in Slovakia in the 2021/2022 academic year. On April 8-9, 2021, the XI International Scientific and Technical Conference “Modern Directions of Development of Information and Communication Technologies and Management Tools” was held. Students, teachers and graduate students of the Department of Information Technology Security took an active part in the work of Section 4. “Security of computer systems and networks”.

The secretary of the section was the associate professor of the ITS department Severinov O.V., the head of the section was the professor of the Central Ukrainian National Technical University, Kropyvnytskyi Smirnov O.A..

Department of Information Technology Security invites everyone to join the largest event of the 2021 admission campaign – the online marathon “Admission 2021 to NURE. Choose your future with NURE”.  The marathon will take place on March 13-14 and 20-21 from 10 am on the YouTube channel NURE TV.

The presentation of the educational program “Security of Information and Communication Systems” is scheduled for March 14, 2021 (Sunday) at 10.30.

In order to teach students the basics of cybersecurity, countering cyberattacks on the information and communication system, testing methods of building protection systems against intruders to the department with the financial assistance of sponsors, devices were purchased and deployed a complex of cybersecurity.

The complex was developed by students majoring in 125 Cybersecurity Fedorov Ilya (group КБІКС-19-1) and Lysko Victor (group БІКСм-20-1).

On February 8, 2021, the Government adopted amendments to the Rules for Information Protection in Information, Telecommunication and Information-Telecommunication Systems, developed by a working group consisting of specialists from the State Special Communications Service, the Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine, the State Customs Service of Ukraine and industry experts.

Adoption of this resolution will allow to make full use of modern network technologies and to provide high-quality introduction of electronic services of interaction between public authorities.
